Programs: Healthy Lifestyles Award

PTA was founded to support the education, safety, and health of all children. Healthy children and families are critical components to fulfilling our mission of making every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Texas PTA is proud to offer Local and Council PTAs* the opportunity to be recognized and celebrated for their work through the Healthy Lifestyles Award.

Examples of activities in each category are listed below. Incorporate these activities into your new year’s plan today! Applications open March 1-31.

Earn the Healthy Lifestyles Digital Badge

Local PTAs: Must have completed activities in at least three categories to earn the digital badge.
Council PTAs: Must have completed activities in at least four categories to earn the digital badge.

Consideration for the Outstanding Healthy Lifestyles Award

All eligible applications will be considered for the Outstanding Healthy Lifestyles Award. One Local Elementary PTA*, one Local Secondary PTA*, and one Council PTA* application will be selected and recognized on stage at LAUNCH 2025, July 18-20 at the Dallas Anatole. Selected PTAs will be announced in May.

*Local and Council PTAs must be in Good Standing to be eligible for the Outstanding Healthy Lifestyles Award.
