86th Legislative Session: Come Early, Be Loud, Stay Late!

The 86th Texas Legislature convenes January 8, and it’s critically important that legislators hear from superintendents and administrators from across the state throughout the session. TASA members’ presence at the Capitol is key, especially toward the end of session when many bills covering many topics are moving quickly through the process and many of the major decisions are being made.

Many superintendents and administrators have asked how they can help. You are needed to testify before committees on various issues, make office visits, and just be present during hearings and floor debates. TASA has created this simple online form for members to sign up to assist the association’s advocacy efforts during session.

If you are interested in advocating for TASA’s 2019 Legislative Priorities and positions during the upcoming session, please complete this form to indicate your subject matter preferences and availability to come to Austin during the session. We will do our best to accommodate topics and schedules with volunteers.
