Refund Policy:
Refunds will be made only if you notify the Community Education office at 395-8550 ext. 6721, five days before class starts, and (10) days' notice for classes involving the instructor purchasing supplies. If a class is canceled due to lack of enrollment, you will be notified and refunded any payments you have made.
62+ Card:
Havre Public School District -Residents who have obtained their 62+ card from the school district are entitled to 1 (one) reduced enrollment in a multi-evening class. This does not include materials, rentals, bldg., or equipment fees. Applications for a 62+ card are available at the Robins Administration Building or the High School Office.
Age Requirement:
Students must be at least 18 years old to register and participate in Community Education classes.

A1—Basics of owning a dog or bringing home a new member of the family!
Do you have a dog in your home that you aren’t sure how to train? Maybe he barks at strangers, puts his feet up on the counter, or jumps on you and your guests? Whatever it may be, this class is provided to help you navigate life with a well behaved dog! This class is also great for those that are thinking of adding a new dog or pup to the family. Topics will include basic commands (sit, down, stay, wait, come, etc.), socializing your puppy to new environment, many dos and don’ts of owning a dog, and more! Please do NOT bring your pet. A2-Manage Your Finances in 2023
Tax return season has begun! What is the best use of your refund? Let us help you create a plan to best utilize that boost to your budget. Led by knowledgeable staff from Independence Bank, this two-session course will guide you through a 12-month plan for 2023. You will assess your current financial situation, set your personal financial goals for 2023, and create a plan for reaching those goals throughout the year. Along the way, you will gather some amazing tools to support making smart financial decisions and learn tips and tricks you will use for a lifetime. A3—Parent Portal 101
Did you know you can report a student’s absence or change your student’s demographic information on the parent portal? These are just a couple of the wonderful features of the online platform that you will learn about in this class. A4—Don’t Worry. Retire Happy
This class will provide you with practical information that can be used to reduce your worries about retire-ment planning and give you the confidence to retire happily ever after. During this program, retirement income expert and best-selling author, Tony Hegna, shares his insight on retirement planning with a live studio audience. B1—Welding
Learn how to safely perform, repair, and project fabrication welding of steel. Common metal cutting and grinding equipment operation and safety will be covered. Participants will be introduced to the applications of the Oxygen Acetylene Torch, including cutting, brazing, welding, and heating. Arc welding instruction and practice will focus on: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick), Gas Metal Arc Welding (solid wire MIG), and Flux Cored Arc Welding. Plasma Arc Cutting will be demonstrated at the end of the course. Students need to bring fire retardant long sleeve jackets or shirts, leather gloves, and safety glasses. B4-Basic Makeup Application
Are you wanting to know how to apply makeup with confidence? If so, this class is for you! Learn about the basics of makeup application. C1—How to Stream
Are you interested in learning how to drop your satellite or cable TV but still be able to watch the local news? Triangle Communications will be hosting a FREE How to Stream class on Monday, March 27th from 6 PM‐8 PM in the Hospitality Room at Triangle Communications. Materials and equipment for the class will be provided. Attendees will learn how streaming works, the devices you can use to stream online content as well as the different streaming services available. Triangle employees will be available to answer any other streaming-related questions attendees may have. Don’t miss out on this FREE opportunity to learn the ins and outs of streaming. Registered participants will be entered into a drawing for a free streaming device.
C2—Online QuickBooks Level 2
This course is a continuation of a previous session. We will navigate further in the online platforms Chart of Accounts and tricks of the software. During the Increased Intuition Intensive you will learn: To identify your current level of self-trust and how to cultivate more and allow your intuition to come through with more ease. How to read your body compass so that you will trust your inner guidance and intuition more. To begin to access your inner wisdom and personal guidance (intuition). Why knowing and aligning with your core values will help increase intuition. You will also answer the “What’s next?” question for you and how to use your increased intuition to help you discover your soul’s purpose and lead a life of joy while doing what you love! D4 — Tai Chi for Health of Mind and Body
Join Dr. Tony Gryffin for an overview of how the slow-moving breath-focused relaxation exercise of Tai Chi can benefit mental and physical health. Research on measurable physiological effects and benefits for a wide range of chronic conditions will be shared. Following the overview of the effects and benefits of Tai Chi, Dr. Gryffin will share tips and techniques to maximize benefits and will lead participants in user-friendly formats. Each participant will receive an early copy of his award-winning book “Mindful Exercise: Metarobics, Healing, and the Power of Tai Chi,” as well as links to user-friendly online videos which can be used for home practice. D5—Journey to the East: An Experiential Journey into Mindfulness and Life Empowerment
Dr. Tony Gryffin will share excerpts, applications, and worksheets from his book “Journey to the East: An Experiential Book.” This book has been recommended, and used for a variety of college programs, prison education, as well as conference workshops. “Journey to the East: An Experiential Book” follows three youths in their experiences, adventures, and training in mindfulness and martial arts, from which much of the practice of mindfulness originated. Following the story of the character’s adventures, a workbook section at the end guides the reader in applying the Six Pillars for Mindful Living, related to Vision, Discipline, Courage, Community, Spirit, and Joy. Participants will be guided through various mindful practices, intermixed with stories from the book. First 10 Participants will receive a free copy of the book. You’ll have a great physical workout at the Havre City Pool. Water buoyancy has been shown to make exercise less stressful on the body’s joints thus getting the benefit of aerobics without the stress on the body. Non-swimmers are welcome. This is a coed class. OULA is an easy-to-follow, high cardio exercise for people of all abilities to Top 40 hits. This class will improve flexibility, build strength, and improve coordination and balance by putting an emphasis on core training. Stability balls, weights, bands, and medicine balls may be used during this class along with bodyweight exercises to additionally train all muscle groups. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga or Pilates mat. If participants prefer their own stability ball, they are encouraged to bring that also.
