PA JobSource Scavenger Hunt

Welcome to the PA JobSource Scavenger Hunt!

Between Feb. 4 and 13, AAPA student, fellow, and retired members are invited to participate in this fun opportunity to explore AAPA's new PA JobSource career hub. Log in to PA JobSource using your membership credentials, complete the following clues, and click submit by 11:59 p.m. E.T. on Thursday, Feb. 13, for the chance to win one complimentary registration to AAPA 2025 in Denver, Colo.

1) This city was the birthplace of Starbucks and has the nickname “Emerald City” for its year-round greenery. Type the name of the city in the “Find a place” search bar and report on the number of networking and active hiring sites that appears in the “total sites” section above the job list. Don’t forget to clear your search by clicking on the PA JobSource logo in the upper left-hand corner before moving on. *

2) If you plan to relocate for a position, getting an idea of housing costs is a must. Turn on the median home price map layer and share a screenshot showing the median cost of a home in a location you're interested in. Turn the layer off and clear your search when you are done.

3) PAs work in many settings from outpatient clinics to surgical centers to correctional facilities. Filter the map for hospital settings and tell us how many active hiring sites are in the Idaho market. *

4) PA JobSource features more than 40 specialties. Clear your last search and then filter the map for family medicine. How many active hiring and networking sites do you see in the Phoenix market? *

5) There are nearly 50,000 PA employers on PA JobSource. Clear your last search and tell us the name of the employer hiring in New Albany, IN? *

6) Employer sites labeled “Networking” don’t have open positions at the moment, but they plan to hire PAs in the future. Clear your last search, filter the map for “allergy and immunology”, and tell us how many networking sites you see across the United States. *

7) Clear your last search and then use the “Follow Market” function to stay in the know about your favorite region. Tell us how many sites are in your preferred geographic market, and the name you assigned to that market. *

8) Did you know that in addition to geographic markets, you can also follow specific employer facility sites and jobs of interest on PA JobSource? Find a site you’d like to receive updates on, click “follow,” and tell us who you are now following. *

9) Sometimes it’s OK to brag a little! Update your profile to include your CV, your education, work experience, and any other relevant information you want employers to know about you. Show us a screenshot of your profile when you are done.

10) If you want your future to look bright, don’t leave potential employers in the dark. Navigate to the “My Follows” section under the hamburger menu and toggle on the option to share your profile and contact information with employers in one of the markets you follow. If you aren’t ready for employers to know who you are, feel free to skip this one!

All U.S.-based respondents who correctly complete this scavenger hunt by 11:59 PM ET on February 13, 2025, will automatically be entered in a drawing to win complimentary registration to AAPA 2025 in Denver, Colorado. Odds of winning vary by number of respondents. No purchase necessary; void where prohibited. The drawing will take place no later than 7 days after the completion of the scavenger hunt, and the winner will be notified within two weeks of that date.
